Providence star forward Bryce Hopkins tells On3 he will return to the Friars next season to play for newly-hired head coach Kim English and will not transfer. The 6-foot-7 sophomore from Oak Park, Ill. averaged 15.8 points, 8.5 rebounds, and 2.3 assists this season. He was also named All-Big East First Team.
Hopkins still has the option to test the NBA Draft waters if he chooses. However, on most NBA Mock Drafts, Hopkins is listed as a second-round pick.
Just over a week ago, former Providence head coach Ed Cooley accepted the open head coaching job at Georgetown.
