Former Kentucky coach Eddie Sutton has officially been elected to the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.
In his seventh go-round as a finalist, Sutton was announced as part of the 2020 Hall of Fame class, joining Kobe Bryant, Kevin Garnett, Tim Duncan, Tamika Catchings, Patrick Baumann, Kim Mulkey, Barbara Stevens, and Rudy Tomjanovich as inductees.
The 84-year-old spent four seasons at Kentucky, finishing his time in Lexington with an 90-40 (.692) overall record. As head coach of the Wildcats, Sutton led the team to three NCAA Tournament appearances, one Sweet Sixteen finish, and one Elite Eight finish.
