Coming off the team’s sixth straight loss, the Kentucky basketball program is in shambles as it heads into conference play. Failing to win a game since November 25 – seriously, we didn’t see a UK win the entire month of December – the Wildcats are struggling to make shots, they’re turning the ball over, defense has been abysmal, and they can’t maintain leads.
As bad as the on-court play has looked to the naked eye, the updated team stats are somehow even worse. As of Monday evening, Kentucky is in the top 100 nationally in just four total categories: blocked shots, three-point defense, rebounding margin and rebounds per game.
