Kentucky Wildcats cornerback Brandin Echols is the latest athlete and Mississippi native to speak out on racism issues in the Magnolia State.
Echols took to Twitter Tuesday to defend Mississippi State running back Kylin Hill, who said he would not play for the University until the state changed their state flag that features the Confederate States of America flag.
“I already had It in my mind I was gone leave that racist state,” said Echols, a native of Southaven, Mississippi. “Mississippi don’t deserve all the talent walking around there, whole state ungrateful.
