Another draft and another Mark Stoops DB product selected. Brandin Echols is head to the New York Jets as the 200th pick in the sixth round of the 2021 NFL Draft.
Echols came to Kentucky in 2019 after a JUCO All-American stint at Northwest Mississippi Community College where he was moved from wide receiver to cornerback. At Kentucky, Echols started 11 of 13 games during his junior season in 2019. during that season he was fourth on the team with 52 tackles and led the secondary with nine pass break-ups and two forced fumbles.
In 2020, Echols started in all 11 games and earned his first career interception in the Gator Bowl against NC State.
