The D1 Docket, a Twitter account that prides itself on scooping non-conference college basketball games, is reporting Kentucky will host Brad Calipari’s Detroit Mercy Titans next season as part of a multi-team event.
“Kentucky will host Detroit Mercy in a non-conference game this season, game is part of campus site round-robin MTE, per public record,” the tweet reads. “Kentucky’s game against Richmond is part of the same MTE.”
That sounds like half of the makings of another “BBN Showcase,” UK’s four-game home stretch (in a round-robin that doesn’t really matter) in late-November.
This new report also refutes the old rumor that UK will travel to Detroit for a game in 2020-21.
