LEXINGTON — More than rivalry bragging rights will be on the line when Kentucky football and Tennessee face off Saturday.
The Wildcats and Volunteers are two of a dwindling group of Southeastern Conference teams competing to reach the middle tier of the league’s contracted bowl games. Kentucky needs two wins in its final four games to reach bowl eligibility. Tennessee needs two wins from its final three games.
Six SEC teams (Alabama, LSU, Georgia, Florida, Auburn and Texas A&M) have already reached bowl eligibility.
