Matt Ruffalo’s second missed kick against Ole Miss cost Kentucky a chance to win their first game of the 2020 season.
Unable to slow down the Ole Miss offense, Kentucky trailed 35-28 halfway through the fourth quarter. Needing 78 yards to get to the end zone and tie the game, Eddie Gran went away from the primary rushing attack. Despite a few hiccups, Justin Rigg and Akeem Hayes each made drive-saving catches that gave Kentucky life, setting up a Chris Rodriguez game-tying touchdown with 2:04 on the clock.
On the ensuing possession the Wildcats stuffed a first down run.
