While many of the NBA draft prospects at this weekend’s combine participated in Friday’s 5-on-5 scrimmages, BJ Boston sat courtside in street clothes for an interview on the ESPN broadcast.
The former Wildcat spoke with ESPN’s Mike Schmitz about his pre-draft process and what he’s working on to prove to scouts that he is worthy of a first-round pick.
“I’m focused on gaining weight, gaining muscle, getting stronger, being a consistent shooter,” Boston said. “I take pride in my shooting so I wake up everyday and try to get 1,200 makes a day.”
Boston is studying the game’s three-level scorers, guys like CJ McCollum, Devin Booker, Jayson Tatum and Kevin Durant, he said.
