Even though Lamar Jackson lost, his favorite Louisville charity won.
The Buffalo Bills defeated the Baltimore Ravens 17-3 Saturday night to clinch a spot in the AFC Championship Game, the team’s first appearance since 1993. Jackson did not finish the game on the field. Two plays after his pass into the end zone turned into a pick six for Buffalo, Jackson was taken to the locker room with concussion-like symptoms and ruled out.
Shortly after the game ended, Bills Mafia celebrated by smashing tables and opening up wallets. Less than 36 hours later Louisville’s chapter of “Blessings in a Backpack” has received approximately $300,000 in donations from almost 10,000 Buffalo football fans.
