LEXINGTON - At least one Kentucky basketball tradition has been canceled for the 2020-21 season. Others could follow due to coronavirus restrictions.
Fans will not be allowed to campout for Big Blue Madness tickets as they normally do in late September each year, a UK spokesman confirmed Friday. Whether Big Blue Madness will happen at all and what form it takes if it does is still under discussion.
"Like our game schedule, we are evaluating what we can do with our preseason schedule, including Big Blue Madness, under current COVID-19 restrictions," UK spokesman Eric Lindsey said in a statement to the Courier Journal.
