The Big 12 is pushing the chips in on college football this fall — for now.
The conference just announced it is proceeding with plans for the season, confirming last night’s report. They also released a schedule, a 9+1 model that includes one non-conference game and a September 26 start, the same as the SEC. Each team will have a minimum of two bye dates and potentially a third bye late in the season. The Dr Pepper Big 12 Championship Game is tentatively scheduled for December 12.
“The virus continues to evolve and medical professionals are learning more with each passing week,” said Big 12 Commissioner Bob Bowlsby.
