The Big 12 has announced a nine-plus-one schedule for the upcoming college football season.
This evening, the Big 12 Board of Directors announced the league’s football programs would play nine conference games and one non-conference home game.
According to the release, the start of conference play will be solidified and announced in the coming weeks, with an anticipated start sometime between mid- to late-September. As of now, the expectation is that non-conference games will be played prior to beginning league games.
The model also gives the Conference flexibility to move back the Dr Pepper Big 12 Championship game to December 12th or 19th.
