As a three-star recruit (class of 2016) out of Westerville, Ohio, Snell collected offers from a group of schools that were less than astounding: Kentucky, Cincinnati, Iowa, Bowling Green, Buffalo, Miami (Ohio), and Toledo.
That’s it.
Being overlooked by the in-state Ohio State Buckeyes gave Benny the motivation to push himself and get to where he is today.
He felt like he was snubbed by Ohio State.
“They were shying away from me and I didn’t know why,” Snell said on The Jim Rome Show this week. “I felt like I was obviously the best [running] back.
