ATLANTA – Almost seven months removed from his controversial Music City Bowl ejection, star Kentucky running back Benny Snell is ready to acknowledge a silver lining in the incident.
“It was a blessing in disguise, me being kicked out,” Snell said Monday during UK’s stop at SEC Media Days. “More people know who I am now because of that, so it’s not all negative.”
Snell was ejected in the second quarter of UK’s Music City Bowl loss to Northwestern for making contact with an official after he swiped away an official’s arms as he tried to help Snell up from the ground following a 7-yard loss.
