Benny Snell, Josh Allen Eye All-Time Records

History stands in their way. Sonny Collins’ mark of 3,835 career rushing yards has stood for 43 years. On defense, Allen is chasing Oliver Barnett, who ended his career in 1989 with 26 sacks. The tasks are daunting, but each believe records are meant to be broken.

“The rushing record is what I’m going for. I want it,” Snell said at SEC Media Days. Already in the record books as UK’s career leader in rushing touchdowns, Benny needs a career-high 1,412 yards in 2018 to become the Cats’ all-time leading rusher. Only about 100 yards more than last season’s total, a season that ended prematurely in the Music City Bowl, the record is within Snell’s reach.
