Kentucky running back Benny Snell is eager to prove himself at the NFL combine. Jon Hale, Louisville Courier Journal
INDIANAPOLIS – Former Kentucky star running back Benny Snell is used to proving doubters wrong.
When recruiting analysts anointed him a middling three-star prospect out of high school and he was snubbed by hometown Ohio State University, Snell responded by earning freshman All-America honors in his first year at Kentucky. When back-to-back 1,000-yard seasons were not enough to earn him a spot on ESPN’s list of the top 50 players in college football entering the 2018 season, he answered with the second-most rushing yards of any player in the Southeastern Conference and Kentucky’s career rushing record.
