A 6-foot-9, 250-pound right-handed pitcher for the Bat Cats, Jordan played both sports at West Carter High School in Olive Hill, Kentucky, where he was the basketball team’s all-time leading rebounder and shot blocker.
At the time, Jordan released a statement on his decision to join the basketball team, saying that while baseball remains his top priority, he was “excited about the opportunity and the challenge” of playing both sports at UK.
“Like so many others in the state of Kentucky, basketball has been a part of my life since I was just a kid,” Jordan said in a release from UK.
