It’s only his first year playing high school hoops, but Bol Kuir already has a knack for searching out rebounds.
On Thursday night, Kuir, who plays for Belfry High School over in Pike County, posted an insane stat line that consisted of 25 points, 42 rebounds, and eight blocks in a 78-77 double-overtime win over Lawrence County. The game actually ended with a game-winning stepback jumper from Belfry’s sophomore guard, Sal Dean.
Kuir’s 42 boards rank as the second-most in Kentucky state history, trailing Fredonia’s Russ Milton’s mark of 48, which he set all the way back on Feb.
