Benny Snell made Kentucky fans proud on Monday night. The school’s all-time leading rusher subbed in for an injured Najee Harris on Monday Night Football and reminded the world he’s not just a special team specialist.
Snell had 12 carries for 62 yards and scored the game-winning touchdown in the Pittsburgh Steelers 24-17 win over the Indianapolis Colts, but more importantly, he had one gigantic and familiar smile at the end of the game. Najee Harris and Jaylen Warren demoted Snell to third-string running back this season, but persistence and opportunity paid off. When he was next man up, he stepped up, getting his first carries of the season in prime time.
