Tubby Smith’s best team from top to bottom was arguably the 2003 Wildcats. Led by Keith Bogans, his ankle injury in the Sweet 16 is one of the ultimate “What Ifs” in the history of Kentucky basketball. Marquis Estill carried the load admirably in his place. The 6’9″ center from Madison Central scored 28 points and grabbed six rebounds to carry the Cats to the Elite Eight. Without a healthy Bogans, the legend of Dwyane Wade was born.
