ATHENS, Ga. — Yes, they still remember Ashton Hagans in his home state of Georgia.
And Kentucky's freshman guard made sure Tuesday night they won't soon forget.
Facing a hostile student section at Georgia, the school to which he had once committed, Hagans thrived. He scored a career-high 23 points, leading the 14th-ranked Wildcats to a 69-49 victory over the Bulldogs.
Hagans's storyline made him an obvious hero for Kentucky (13-3, 3-1 SEC), but he wasn't the only one on a night where the team's leading scorer Keldon Johnson struggled to get going and didn't score.
