Avery Williamson’s NFL career isn’t over yet. The former Kentucky Wildcat linebacker was unemployed to start the 2021 NFL season but stayed in shape and by the phone in case a spot opened up.
On Tuesday, a new job opportunity came in the form of a practice squad contract from the Denver Broncos and Williamson accepted the position.
“Happy to be a part of Bronco Nation!!,” Williamson tweeted Tuesday night.
Now in his eighth NFL season, Williamson moves to the Mile High City to help a depleted Broncos linebacker room where multiple players are on injured reserve.
