I already have a frontrunner for my favorite player in the 2017 class: Belfry’s Austin Dotson. The three-star offensive tackle led Belfry to four consecutive state championship games and if he’s anything like his grandmother, we should expect great, great things. This afternoon, Mark Stoops told reporters that during his in-home visit with Dotson, his grandmother gave him grief over not winning the TaxSlayer Bowl.
“We’ve watched him and known him for a while. Great young man. I always get a smile when I talk about him because I just get a kick out of him, you know, Eastern Kentucky, winning high school tradition.
