Auburn men’s basketball to forgo postseason for 2020-21 season

The Auburn Tigers are trying to be proactive and punish themselves before the NCAA takes action for their alleged part in the FBI’s investigation into college basketball corruption.

The Tigers announced today that they will punish themselves by forgoing any postseason play for the 2020-21 season.

Auburn would have a lot of work to do this season to qualify for the NCAA Tournament, so it’ll be interesting to see if the NCAA accepts this punishment.

AUBURN, Ala. – The Auburn men’s basketball program will forgo postseason competition for the upcoming 2020-2021 season. The NCAA and the SEC have been notified.
