Maybe the old adage, Winning on the road in the SEC isn’t easy, is true after all.
Kentucky was reminded of that fun fact last Saturday when the Cats dropped a game at Alabama as a five-point favorite. Then last night, Auburn, another contender for the SEC crown, dropped a game as a four-point favorite at Ole Miss.
The Rebels actually whooped up on the 11th-ranked Tigers, 82-67, in a surprising upset. Ole Miss’s Terence Davis went for 27 points and 12 rebounds as his team moved to 12-2 on the season and 2-0 in conference play under new head coach Kermit Davis (no relation to Terence, as far as I know).
