Auburn leaned on its strength throughout a fourth-quarter drive that transported the Tigers’ within two yards of the end zone against Penn State on Saturday night.
Auburn looked more like the Big Ten team as it gashed Penn State’s defense with one running play after another. The Tigers traveled 73 yards, with 49 yards coming on the ground.
That brought up fourth-and-goal. Two yards separated Auburn from a touchdown that would have set up a two-point conversion try to tie the game.
