AT THE BUZZER: Kentucky men’s basketball handles Minnesota State 98-67 in exhibition play

No. 23 Kentucky men’s basketball took care of business, defeating Minnesota State-Mankato, the reigning NCAA Division-II national champions, 98-67 in exhibition play.

The contest against the Mavericks was the final preseason game of the year before the Wildcats officially kick off the regular season and the Mark Pope era in Lexington.

Kicking things off with a starting lineup of Otega Oweh, Lamont Butler, Jaxson Robinson, Andrew Carr and Amari Williams, Kentucky got into early trouble when, not dissimilar from exhibition on, Oweh was the only Cat able to start hot, scoring seven of Kentucky’s first 10.
