Former Kentucky guard Ashton Hagans has been waived by the Minnesota Timberwolves after being suspended for violating health and safety protocols inside the NBA G League bubble.
Hagans was one of five players suspended on the Iowa Wolves – Minnesota’s G League affiliate – on Feb. 10, with the franchise also being fined $10,000 for the violation. Hagans, along with Iowa’s Charlie Brown, Jaylen Johnson, Ade Murkey and Dakarai Tucker were each suspended two games and had their pay docked for the time they missed.
Prior to Hagans’ brief time in the G League bubble down in Orlando, FL, the former Wildcat appeared in two games for the Timberwolves, failing to accumulate stats in either contest.
