Ashton Hagans makes ESPN’s Top 25 players of the 2019-20 college basketball season

In their latest rankings released on Monday, the 6-foot-3 guard out of Cartersville, GA came in at No. 23 overall, good for No. 3 in the SEC.

In the analysis, ESPN’s John Gasaway praised Hagans for his defense and passing abilities, but added that his “turnover issues and [his] perimeter range is a work in progress.”

In just his third collegiate start, Hagans personally ambushed North Carolina and recorded eight steals in Kentucky’s 80-72 win last season at the United Center in Chicago. When he’s not terrorizing opposing offenses this season, the sophomore will likely be found dishing assists and converting 2s.
