Kentucky basketball coach John Calipari is pushing his freshmen to improve as the Wildcats prepare for a more difficult stretch of games.
LEXINGTON - Kentucky basketball stretched its winning streak to six games with a 67-53 victory over Georgia Tech Saturday.
Sophomore point guard Ashton Hagans led the way with 21 points on 8-of-10 shooting. He added seven rebounds and seven assists but turned the ball over six times. Sophomore guard Immanuel Quickley (16), junior forward Nick Richards (12) and freshman forward Keion Brooks (10) also scored in double figures.
Georgia Tech led by as many as five points in the first half before Kentucky closed the half on a 15-4 run then scored the first six points of the second half.
