As Louisville discovered, Kentucky's talented, young team is growing up

Game over, point proven, rivalry won, Ashton Hagans threw L’s down at the KFC Yum Center and then later recalled one play. It was different because it hadn’t happened before.

The play is kind of like a pick and roll, Kentucky’s freshman guard said, with the idea to “try to attack the basket.” He had seen something on tape and thought it was a good idea to run at that moment against Louisville. John Calipari agreed and let him go. It resulted in a layup.

“Probably the first time, I’m not going to lie,” Hagans said of Calipari allowing him to call his own play.
