Art Briles fired by Baylor Bears

College football just got a major shakeup ahead of Memorial Day weekend as one of the sports' most successful coaches lost his job.

According to multiple media reports, the Baylor Bears have fired head coach Art Briles, who has failed to adequately monitor and police his football program, which has been involved in rampant sexual violence scandals during his tenure.

This past season, Baylor finished 10–3 and won the Russell Athletic Bowl amid a host of injuries to their quarterbacks.

In 2013, Briles led Baylor to one of the best seasons in school history as the Bears finished with a school-record 11 wins and the Big 12 crown—their first conference title since winning their last outright Southwest Conference title in 1980.
