Chris Westry saved us against South Carolina. The interception at the 23-yard line to prevent South Carolina from scoring a go-ahead touchdown showed the Big Blue Nation that even as a true freshman, Westry was going to do big things.
One of the glimmers of hope from last season was Westry and this off-season Westry has continued to improve upon that, but not without some help, of course.
According to Kyle Tucker of the Courier-Journal, Mark Stoops keeps a “boot up his you-know-what 24/7” to keep his cornerback in line after a successful freshman year.
“‘I’ve got to stay with a boot up his you-know-what 24/7 and get him playing on edge, because the game is not easy,” the coach said.
