Tyler Herro has received a ton of praise for his ability to score the basketball ever since signing with Kentucky.
But as meteoric as his rise gets, this was still unexpected: Bill Raftery compared Herro to NBA legend and all-time Celtics great Larry Bird.
“One freshman that just knows how to play, the Herro kid,” Raftery said. “He’s great without the ball, he’s unselfish, pull-up game, just handles it nicely.
“You throw in those other greats with him like [PJ] Washington, I think is bigger and stronger, knows how to pass it well. So like always Kentucky is going to be in the mix this year.
