According to John Calipari and Joel Justus, Brooks was suffering from an illness during Kentucky’s trip to the Lone Star State, which explains why he only played seven minutes and finished with zero points, zero rebounds, and a turnover.
“Keion, we found out, was sick,” Calipari said on his radio show last night. “He did not practice today. I said, ‘Were you sick yesterday?’ Because the staff said there was something wrong with him. I think he was sick going into the game, he wasn’t feeling good.
