Alex Poythress might be playing basketball overseas, but he’s still powering down dunks with authority.
In his debut for BC Zenit, a Russian squad from the VTB League, the one-time Kentucky Wildcat made his team debut, recording 10 points, five rebounds, two assists, three blocks, and two steals on a 5-6 shooting clip in a 79-67 win over Khimki. One of his buckets included this monster slam in transition, which looked all-to-familiar to what he used to do in Lexington.
Alex Poythress welcomes himself to Russia pretty nicely. A poster and a bloc party. Great effort on both ends with a 10p/5r/3b/2s/2a showing in a W vs Khimki.
