LEXINGTON — Two days after the Kentucky men's basketball team kneeled during the national anthem before a game at Florida, John Calipari wants to put the focus back on basketball.
"They wanted their voice to be heard, and they’re young," Calipari said to open his weekly radio show Monday. "I’m proud of this group, what they’ve been through, how they’ve been. We talked today a little bit about it, and I said, 'Let’s get on with basketball. Let’s get on with basketball. Let the focus be on how you’re playing as a team. ... Let it be about that.
