A pair of Kentucky Track and Field alumnus are moving on to the next stage at the World Athletics Championships in Oregon.
On Tuesday evening in Eugene, Abby Steiner qualified for the finals of the 200-meter finals while Sydney McLaughlin advanced to the 400-meter hurdles. Steiner, the current 200m title holder, finished with a time of 22.15 seconds in the semifinals and placed second overall in her heat, receiving an automatic bid for the finals. McLaughlin easily qualified for the semifinals after posting a time of 53.95 seconds.
