Record-setting performances are turning into postseason honors for Abby Steiner. Today, Kentucky’s senior sprinter was named a track and field finalist for the Honda Sport Award, given annually by the Collegiate Women Sports Awards (CWSA) to the top women athletes in 12 NCAA-sanctioned sports. The other track and field finalists are Florida’s Anna Hall and Jasmine Moore and California’s Camryn Rodgers.
The track and field winner will be announced later this week after voting by administrators from over 1,000 NCAA member schools. The winner of the Honda Sport Award becomes a finalist for the Collegiate Woman Athlete of the Year and the 2022 Honda Cup which will be presented during the live telecast of the Collegiate Women Sports Awards Presented by Honda on CBS Sports Network on June 27, at 9 p.
