Kentucky Basketball regularly produces All-SEC players, at least one a year until this past season broke a couple of the program’s traditions. In fact, John Calipari has coached 29 All-SEC selections in his 12 seasons on the job.
But returning All-SEC performers, they’re few and far between in Lexington because, as you know, players tend to leave UK for the NBA if they’re good enough to be all-conference. In fact again, of the 29 Wildcats who earned All-SEC honors under Coach Cal, only one returned to school for another season: Terrence Jones in 2011 following Calipari’s second season on the job.
