I caught up with the number one ranked player in Kentucky on Monday. The recruiting process for Jager Burton, Frederick Douglass High School’s four-star offensive guard, has taken many twists and turns, mainly from the influence of the COVID-19 pandemic, which has limited official visits, as well as his teammate Dekel Crowdus’ recent pledge to the Big Blue. The Crowdus commitment was extremely significant in nature due to the four-star’s talent level, his connection to Burton, and for Mark Stoops, landing a commitment from Lexington’s top program.
Q: Are you still planning to announce your commitment on your birthday (August 24) and how has COVID-19 impacted your official visit schedule?
