Tennessee’s offensive balance could serve it well against the Wildcats, who have built a reputation for defense while winning 20 of 24 games. Angela Gosnell, Knoxville News Sentinel
Lexington, Kentucky, is about to have a really awkward Sunday.
At least, the most awkward Sunday since early November — when the unranked Tennessee Vols football team upset the No. 14-ranked Kentucky Wildcats, 24-7, at Neyland Stadium.
Ahead of the Wildcats' home matchup against their rival down south, Lexington mayor Linda Gorton proclaimed this weekend as "Beat Tennessee Weekend."
"Saturday brings a showdown between two of the nation's best college basketball teams, the University of Kentucky Wildcats and the Tennessee Vols," the proclamation says.
