Former Kentucky star Jared Lorenzen is a popular name in the Bluegrass State, and tributes have continued to pour in from across the nation following his death earlier this month.
Thoroughbred owner, University of Kentucky donor and Lexington-area Shadowlawn Farm owner Tracy Farmer will pay respects in his own unique way, according to a report from Horse Racing Nation. He's named one of his young horses "Lorenzen" in honor of the former UK quarterback.
Farmer is a Kentucky football season ticket holder, the report said, and was always a big fan of the former UK star, who grew up in Northern Kentucky and later won a Super Bowl ring with the New York Giants in 2008.
