Commonwealth never looked better than it did on opening night against Louisiana Lafayette. I moved from section to section to check out different perspectives of our new jewel. The press box and suites were amazing, the concourse, and even the lights. But one thing was a miss: the student section. The area surrounding the newly furnished recruiting room was all but empty after the second quarter. Most students had stayed for two quarters and were too hammered or disinterested to stay for what turned out to be a nail-biter. As a sophomore at UK, it was disappointing to stand in the section and look down and see empty rows and people heading to the exits before halftime.
