Wednesday was the first day junior college players could sign their letters-of-intent, and eight SEC schools announced signings.
Each of those who signed will be a mid-year transfer, meaning they will enroll in January and be eligible to go through spring practice.
SEC schools certainly are no strangers to junior college players. Some former JC transfers who played big roles in the SEC this season included Ole Miss OT Fahn Cooper, Texas A&M S Justin Evans, Alabama OT Dominick Jackson, Tennessee RB Alvin Kamara, Ole Miss QB Chad Kelly, Arkansas DT Jeremiah Ledbetter, South Carolina DE Marquavius Lewis, Tennessee CB Justin Martin, Alabama DT Jarran Reed and Texas A&M WR Josh Reynolds.
