The Kentucky Wildcats returned home for what could be a trap game right off the Auburn win and Kansas coming to town on Saturday, as they faced off against Mississippi State.
Thankfully, the Cats got off to a very good start, had a lot of energy and played excellent defense, which led to easy baskets and a 10-6 lead at the first media timeout.
Everyone was getting it done for the Cats early on as Nick Richards hit a turnaround hook to extend the lead to 20-9 with around 13 minutes left in the half.
