Back in April of this year, four-star offensive tackle John Young—a 6-7 bruiser out of Louisville’s Christian Academy—committed to Kentucky, a decision he hasn’t budged on and cemented Wednesday during National Signing Day.
Ranked as the 36th-best offensive tackle by Rivals, Young held offers from CFP-qualifier Ohio State, SEC East Champs Georgia and even reigning Citrus Bowl runner-up Penn State, in addition to many others. He still chose Kentucky.
At 6-7, 277, Young is a lean, sturdy blocker who should grow into an adonis the likes of Landon Young and Logan Stenberg after a few semesters of Joe Craft weight training under his belt.
