Jared Casey spurned the Kentucky Wildcats back in October when he announced he was headed to the West Coast to join the Oregon Ducks. However, Casey decommitted from the Ducks just last month and is now in the fold with Mark Stoops and UK.
Casey announced his pledge to Kentucky on Thursday, giving them yet another big-time defender from the Bluegrass. A four-star recruit according to most outlets, Casey is a natural fit as an outside linebacker, though he can play on the inside as well.
That should be welcome news to Big Blue Nation who will lose the NCAA Defensive Player of the Year, Josh Allen, to the NFL Draft, as well as fellow linebacker Jordan Jones, after the Cats upcoming Citrus Bowl matchup with Penn State.
