UK coach John Calipari previews Alabama Jon Hale/Courier Journal
LEXINGTON, Ky. — Kentucky basketball has lost four straight games for just the seventh time since legendary coach Adolph Rupp took over the program in 1930.
Coach John Calipari had a personal-worst losing streak of five in his first season at UMass in the 1989-90 season. The Wildcats (17-9, 6-7 Southeastern Conference) could match that mark if they lose to Alabama on Saturday in Rupp Arena.
"I feel like right now we’re kind of in a slump, but I feel like that one win would just change the whole atmosphere," said Kentucky freshman Jarred Vanderbilt.
